Human Connection Science Lab
The Human Connection Science Lab is a research lab at the psychology department of Université de Montréal headed by assistant professor Floris Van Vugt. The lab researches questions such as: What makes us deeply connect on a human level? What makes us really understand one another, and interact productively? What makes interactions transformative, and what makes them conflictual? What happens in our bodies when we connect? How can human connection impact mental and physical health?
The work in their lab draws inspiration from many subjective approaches to communication, and performs rigorous empirical testing to clarify the effective mechanisms, and thus contribute to building the next generation of human connection frameworks.
